Like Banner, Lambert likes to narrate from a dizzying array of perspectives — i.e., male/female, gay/straight (though he carefully avoids such terminology, thankfully) — and also like Banner, Lambert’s characters are not ones you’d like to consider friends...
The review goes on to say that:

As I said on the Gay Recluse's blog, this sounds so me. It's going on my Wish List now, even in spite of the hardback status. Mind you, it gives me something to say to Mother when she asks what I've spent the Christmas money on - though it'll be a photo finish as to which of us gets to read it first ...
