The Crack

A story of mine is posted at East of the Web. If you'd like to read it, you can click above the cover image to the right of this (it's the picture of the orange cat), or here.

I hope you like it.

I did like it. Great use of the "robbery story" to set up the act of stealing the pin cushion cat. I thought the relationship between Joey and Simon was especially fascinating from Bebiche, through Susan, etc. Very beautifully written and the image of the cat peeling people's eyeballs back was one of those things that made me sit straight up as I read it.

You know I ordered a copy of the other story from One Story like six weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived :{....Anyway, look forward to reading that one as well.

Say Hi to Benedict for me in the meantime.

Oh dear. I'll get in touch with One Story about your copy.

Thanks for your comments about the story. I've more or less given up theft these days, now that I'm gainfully employed, though I do have occasional moments of temptation. I'm talking paper clips, not grand larceny (the only kind I really approve of).

Benedict says Hi back (actually he said Ciao in that excruciating German accent...)
