Remember when Dick Cheney and Henry Kissinger wanted Iran to have its own nuclear power stations? So what's changed? Oh right. That's a picture of the Shah!

What a great find! I assume the US was promoting at the time so they could sell Iran the parts and engineering expertise. Amazing that they made reference to the oil running out some day.
I thought you'd enjoy this. Unfortunately the article is in Italian (and not online) but I'll try and add some more information from it when I get the chance. I'll keep you posted.
